The kite runner.

I. Write at least 3 – 4 sentences about the plot
a. What was the story about?
It is about a kid named Amir, who struggles to find his place in the world because of the aftereffects and fallout from a series of traumatic childhood events.
b. Who were the main characters?
Amir, Hassan, Baba, Ali.
c. What did the main character do in this story?
Amir - A sensitive and intelligent son of a well-to-do businessman in Kabul, and he grows up with a sense of entitlement. His best friend is Hassan, and he goes back and forth between acting as a loyal friend and attacking Hassan out of jealousy whenever Hassan receives Amir’s father’s affection.
d. Did the main characters run into any problem?
The activity of kite fighting is violent by nature. The kites battle and so too do the children flying them. The string, which is covered in ground glass, carves deep gashes into the fliers' hands as they try to cut each other down, and once kites fall out of the sky, the kite runners retrieve them with the same furious determination as, say, a hunting dog does a slain bird. In its violence, kite fighting represents the conflicts that rage Afghanistan nearly throughout the course of the novel. When Hosseini paints us a picture of hundreds of kites trying haphazardly and with great determination to cut each other down, he shows us also the warring factions of Afghanistan overthrowing one another.
e. Did the main characters have any adventures?
No.
f. Who was your favorite character? Why?
Farid! The Afghan man who drived Amir from Peshawar to Kabul and ended up helping him though the whole journey and even got injured by fighting against the Soviets and is fiercely proud of his loyalty to Afghanistan. Ad taking Amir to a hospital in Pakistan.

II. Your personal experience
a. Could you relate to any characters in the story?
Not actually, but if i have to choose, I will relate to Hassan, from the novel "The kite runner", because of his boldness, and how he never gave up on his dream to compete in the kite tournament.
b. Have ever done some of the things or felt some of the same things that the characters did?
I have, well i use to love flying kite with my brother when i was a kid, but as i grew younger and younger I ended my this hobby. Along with kite flying, the thing i still do is being bold, and helping my friends' solving there problems, or fighting for them.

III. Your opinion
a. Did you like the book?
Yes! i loved the novel, but at a point I felt sad at the first chapter where the narrator (Amir) discusses about his childhood, it made me understand his life, and his growth from childhood to manhood. The novel didn't actually had a perfectly happy end, but from my point of view the novel was beautifully wrote and was based on true view.
b. What was your favorite part of the book?
The part i most loved was when Hassan told Amir " For you, a thousand times", if we understand it correctly, we can tell that how much Hassan cared about Amir, he could do anything for him without saying "No" to him.
c. Do you have a least favorite of the book?
No! All the characters' have a role which suits them.
d. If you could change something in the book, what would it be?
(If you wish you could change the ending, remember not to tell the ending to the story you read!)
i wouldn't like to change anything in the book, because this book tell the truth about other less educated countries This novel is perfect from all points, for me because it tell the lifestyle of others as well.

IV. Your recommendation
a. Would you recommend this book to another person?
Sure! I will, i would love to share about how  a childhood friend can change, how someone never stopped caring.
b. What type of person would like this book?
A person who cares, and know about the outer and real life. A person who agrees that this book can be true!

What is the hardest thing in my life?

There are always some ups and downs in our life, but this is life. life is not just time spent with your loved ones, but life and time shows you the real face of the other
person. Life can never be easy but we can make it easy,
by not focusing on the difficulties which are in the present but to see the future and enhance it.
Life is all about choices from your birth to your death. In which there are hard and easy choices.
The hardest thing that I have to do in my life? will be to live when you wanted to die! Not only me but there are thousands of people who wanted to die, just because
they got in a really big fight with there loved ones,
or they have no meaning to live, they don't have anyone to share there feelings with there sorrow there happiness with. There also are some people who are going though
various diseases, like cancer or any other incurable disease.
But at the other side there are some people who beat there disease and live happily. In which my hardest thing is to live when i am dying from the inside,
because there is no meaning of living when you don't have someone who understands you or means everything to you. I want others to be happy but inside i feel lonely and
unhappy. This is a well said quote,
"It's funny how fake a smile can be... and no one can notice the pain that lies beneath it."
Like just fake a smile and everyone will think that you are happy, but only one of them can tell how you really feels, and that one would be your closest friend.
And when that friend asks you what happened you don't tell them and just lie them that you are fine. But only your pillow knows how you really feels.
I don't really have a nice reason for not living, but my reasons are hard for me to handle which are not letting me move on in my life, but making me to quit.

Riches have Wings!

We alldepend on money, but if we run after money, we will disappear. Some Rich people think that they are the master of all, and we are there servants but they dont know that servants can also become a master. They probably didn't knew this famous quote:
“The speed of your success is limited only by your dedication and what you're willing to sacrifice”
                                                                                                           ― Nathan W. Morris.
They want to sacrifice alittle and want much. But in some cases that sacrifices can be wrong, not from there point of view but from every other ones'.
Rich people think that they have everything but they are wrong. Money cannot buy everthing, money can't buy;
1. Trust.
2. Manners.
3. Loyalty.
4. A life .
5. True love.
6. Intelligence
7. Happiness, and many more.

Rich people think that there money can be stolen so they are in search for security so that there money could be with them forever, eventually find out nothing is forever.
They spent great money on useless things, and please that it will never be finished. Now a days money is used for waste-of-time thing, either for there daily needs.
People need to think that if money is given to them, it can also be taken from them. But now richers' think that once they are high in in the sky they can never come back down.
But they dont know that,Everything have to come right back on the ground!(Because of gravity? No! xD) Buy if they fly higher they will disappear, then nor them or there deeds would be able to be seen by us.
"To be able to give away Riches is mandatory if you with to possess them. This is the only way to be truly Rich!"
                                                                                                     ― Muhammad Ali(Boxer).

"Sad Song" by We The Kings

You and I,
We're like fireworks and symphonies exploding in the sky.
With you, I'm alive
Like all the missing pieces of my heart, they finally collide.

So stop time right here in the moonlight,
Cause I don't ever wanna close my eyes.

Without you, I feel broke.
Like I'm half of a whole.
Without you, I've got no hand to hold.
Without you, I feel torn.
Like a sail in a storm.
Without you, I'm just a sad song.
I'm just a sad song.

With you I fall.
It's like I'm leaving all my past in silhouettes up on the wall.
With you I'm a beautiful mess.
It's like we're standing hand in hand with all our fears up on the edge.

You're the perfect melody,
The only harmony
I wanna hear.
You're my favorite part of me,
With you standing next to me,
I've got nothing to fear.

Without you, I feel broke.
Like I'm half of a whole.
Without you, I've got no hand to hold.
Without you, I feel torn.
Like a sail in a storm.
Without you, I'm just a sad song.

Without you, I feel broke.
Like I'm half of a whole.
Without you, I've got no hand to hold.
Without you, I feel torn.
Like a sail in a storm.
Without you, I'm just a sad song.
I'm just a sad song.

What I desire the most?

If you ask me what I desire the most in my life I would say: A soul mate, a friend.    A friend who would not break my heart. A friend who will trust me with his/her whole heart, the one who knows me, who know how insane I am, and without him/her I am nothing. Someone who I can call at the middle of the night for help and he/she is always ready. The one i can be open-minded with, the one who knows my biggest crush and my biggest enemy. The one who don't break my heart, who treats me like I am the only one, and then i will even treat him/her the same. The one, in whose house I can go anytime, and he/she don't mind. Whose mother and father are like my mom and dad.The one who would be with me 12/7.The one my mother trusts my family know. The one who means a lot. And who knows that I would be with him/her in his/her trouble or sore. The one I appreciate and they appreciate me.The one who would be there in my pain and my happiness. The one who would miss me when i am gone. Well i just want someone who calls me his/her best friend, and prove it!
''I do not desire Medicare love, I only desire of a best friend''   The one who tells me his/her secrets and do not tell my secrets to anyone. The one i can not live without. But this desire will never come true, but still I won't lose Hope!
"When you are in alignment with the desires of your heart, things have a way of working out" (Iyanla Yanzant).

It's hard to forget someone, who is special to you, with whom you have faced your tears and your smile, your soulmate, but unfortunately, worst times also come, like when he/she stop talking to you like old days. And starts to ignore you but you still keep hope and message him/her everyday with a little hope and he/she still ignores you.
But time comes when that same person need you back... Like when you finally lose all your hope and message him/her last time and he/she replies, and you become so beautified and glad that you cant breathe, but he/she talks in a rude manner, like why you keep on texting me? cant you see I'm busy or something, but you say sorry and apologize and become hopeless once again. And after few weeks...
You message him/her last time before saying Goodbye! and at the same time he/she replies, that moment, the most memorable moment and you cant even stop smiling, and almost can't breath as well. You become so happy that you make so many mistakes in your sentences and he/she corrects you. And your all like, Damn! those old days and then you send him/her screenshots of your old conversations which you saved back then. And he/she even laughs or grinning and says; Yes!that time was epic. And you keep on sending those convos' to him/her, and you become that same old best friends as before, and then you speak to yourself by saying; That person i use to know is still inside him/her.And then your tears come out of your eyes and meet the sweetness of you mouth, which makes a salty-sweet mixture.
But later after 1 or 2 hours......he/she say that they wanna go, and our all like yea sure, no problem.but from inside your all like; No! don't I wanna talk more, please don't go. But still you are so happy that you cant stop smiling or laughing for no reason till the day ends.

                                                                                                                                 -Alirah Zaidi *-*

THROW-FOOT BALL

The Game we have designed is a teenager's game, and it's name is Throw-foot ball. This game is most probably the only game in which you have to use both your hands and your feets'.
In this game you have to catch the ball with our hands then u should immediately drop it and kick it with your feets'. There will also be a line and you will not be allowed to cross that line while kicking the ball(Like made in the picture down). There are some RULES to this game as well like:
1. The ball should not touch the net while you are kicking the ball.
2. Body touch while catching will be consider as a foul.
3. Each group must have six players and one in spare.
4. The first ball should be kicked from the service box
There are some allowance and dis-allowance in this game as well, like your not allowed to argue with the referee, or else the referee is allowed to show you a red card or a yellow card. In which yellow card means that you have been warned to not do that mistake again, and if you been shown a red card it means that your team has been disqualified. Along with these there are 3 restrictions as well:
1. You must have permission from our Parents or guardian.
2. You should be a teenager or at least 12+
3.You must be wearing our football shoes and should be proper uniformed.
The winning team will be the one with more points and if (in some cases) the match gets draw, there will be a re-match. And lastly, the winning team will get a trophy and medals for each player, including another price of $100. There is a bird-eye view of our game(Made).

P.S: This game has been designed by: Alirah Zaidi, Rukhsana Saleem and Ahsan Azad Khan, who are students of St.Andrew's High School.
Thank You!

Essay on Immigrants.

There are many different reasons why people have their country to go to another country. Actually, I'm not an Immigrant. However, according to my own experience, some people move to another country to look forward to their better education. Now, I know but many people are getting married just to go to United States, and they became immigrants to the US.
Being an immigrant to the United States is not easy. What I mean is the way of life is not easy for some people, because everything is money, We have to pay for everything. Only we have the right to do whatever we want to but in the US there are many things we must go through if we want something, and we also spend a lot of money for many reasons, Shelter, Water, Food. Everything always costs money.
There are many sacrifices people face while they are immigrants. They work long hours for more money, but they don't have enough time with their family. Some people work 24 hours in order to have enough money for their rents and bills. Some people even get sick because of working hard during the day and night. But, they don't chose to quit their jobs, because they must work hard to get money for their need and wants.
In conclusion, being and immigrants is not an easy way to live well and have a better lifestyle. For immigrants it is not easy to adopt the culture and the way that people behave.

Essay on Water Rafting.

Sense of suspense and anticipation as we rafted down the Nantahala River. I recall in vivid detail the scenery around us as we embarked on our perilous journey down the Nantahala. We arrived at the drop-off point in the early afternoon the next day. The sweet smell of fresh pine trees was floating in the air and a soft midsummer breeze was brushing against our faces. After receiving directions and safety precautions from our rafting instructor, we geared up, boarded our raft, and set out for our voyage down the treacherous Nantahala. Sharing the experience with my friends and cousin along with out rafting guide. We were all ready for a fun and safe ride down the Nantahala. As we started to slowly drift down the river, seemingly inch by inch, I began to have feelings of disappointment. I had been planning on a more hazardous and fast-paced ride. The water was crystal clear and almost as flat as a sheet of glass. There was only a very mild current and being as impatient as I was, it appeared to me that we weren’t even moving. Eventually, the current became a little stronger and the ride a little swifter. My feelings of disappointment slowly vanished and feelings of excitement and exhilaration took their place. As the terrain surrounding us became more rocky and rough, so did the river. It was no longer calm and clear like a mountain lake, but more white and frothy like sea foam and rough like a white squall. We passed many small falls, being splashed and soaked from all directions at the bottom of each one. The water was icy cold, cold enough to make you tremble to the bone. I don’t think water surrounding an iceberg in the arctic could have been any colder. Each time I was splashed, thoughts of hypothermia flashed through my head. Our raft almost sank a few times because of the constant splashing of water into our raft. Each time we passed a stretch of rapids, and especially when we made it to the top of each fall a sense of anticipation would come over me I didn’t know what would happen next. There was always a chance that our raft might hit a boulder and flip, or that someone might fall out.

JUNK FOOD:

Nowadays, the term JUNK FOOD itself defines to foods that are not good to your body and they are completely unimportant to our body.Junk food is defined as any food packed with ''full of calories'', which are contains of an abundance of fat, sugar, sodium, and other chemicals, which has less nutritional value.Junk foods have no or very less nutritional value and irrespective of the way they are marketed, they are not healthy to consume.
There illustration of junk food can be summarized with 4 words which are fun, tasty, cheap and fascinating. The only reason of their gaining popularity and increased trend of consumption is that they are ready to eat or are easy to cook foods. Also the ease of manufacturing and consumption makes the junk food market spread its influence so rapidly.People,of all age groups are moving towards junk food as it is hassle free and often ready to grab and eat.
Junk food can also be defined as any food that contributes little or no nutrient value to the diet, but instead provides excess calories and fat.Junk food has become liberating trend to lots of country, because of its chief attraction. In any case, unhealthy food like french fries, chips, chocolate chip cookies, and other fatty, salty, and sugary junk is being served to thousands of American kids every day.
